Summer Challenge
Kids Summer Challenge!
Summer Break is a great time to hang out at the pool, ride bikes, and go to camp. But, it can also be a time to help others through the “Ken-Ya Help Us?” Project. This project is a kid-led, community-wide mission project to help kids in western Kenya as part of the “Umoja Project”. Click on “Stories from Kenya” to read about some of the kids in Kenya we will be helping. As you can see, they really need our help! Many of these children have lost their parents to AIDS and are taking care of themselves and helping raise their younger brothers and sisters. Can you imagine being on your own at age 13 and having to take care of your younger family members instead of going to school?

Won’t you join us to raise money this summer for the kids in Kenya? How about having a lemonade stand, a garage sale, clipping coupons, baking & selling cookies, or doing special jobs around the house to raise money? Be creative and have fun! Then, tell us your story of what you did to raise money and bring it with your earnings to the Kenya Carnival at Second Presbyterian Church. And, don’t forget to bring all your friends to the Carnival too!
A lemonade stand, clipping coupons, a garage sale, it all adds up. Do something for the kids in Kenya this summer!
